Prague | MeetFactory 2022 residencies calls

MeetFactory is a non-profit international center for contemporary art located in an industrial building in Prague’s Smíchov quarter, in a unique space squeezed between a motorway and an active railroad. 

MeetFactory currently has open calls for three residency programmes: 

• Food Studio – looking for projects where food grows to become another medium of contemporary art.
• Sustainable Studio Practice – a safe space where you can develop a project focusing on the topic of sustainability within your artistic practice. This residency is intended for artists living within a radius of 1000km from Prague.
• Performance Studio – for artists active in the field of performance, with a special focus on interdisciplinary projects connecting performance and visual arts and theory.

All three programmes offer accommodation in a shared apartment, studio space, a fee of 700 EUR per month, and a production budget of 200 EUR. The Sustainable Studio Practice residency also offers travel reimbursement of up to 200 EUR (only for land transportation – no air travel).

MeetFactory is a non-profit international centre for contemporary art. Our mission is to foster a dialogue between individual genres and make current developments on the art scene accessible to the broadest public. We support original projects in the fields of visual art, theatre, and music, as well as interdisciplinary and experimental platforms. We aim to create a space in which art is alive and artists are present, enhancing a direct exchange between international artists and visitors, as well as between different fields and generations.
