The 21st UNIMA Congress & World Puppetry Festival will be held in Chengdu, China from May 27- June 3 2012.
The first list of Troupes and Performances selected for the Festival includes performers from many European and Asian countries. Around 180 performances will be staged with more than two-thirds of the 60 performance groups coming from abroad.

UNIMA (Union Internationale de la Marionnette) is an international non-government organisation of UNESCO, founded in the 1920s in Prague. Its headquarters are located in France. So far, it has 75 member countries. The UNIMA Congress and World Puppetry Festival are held in a member country every four years.
