2022 Media Partnerships Announced!

culture360.ASEF.org is pleased to announce this year's arts events selected through the open call for proposals for Media Partnerships, launched in Feburary 2022. Seven events will take place in 2022 in Australia, Bangladesh, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia and the Philippines, and cover a broad range of arts and transdisciplinary topics. As media partner, ASEF culture360 will promote the selected events with articles, interviews and event posts on its website, social media channels and monthly newsletter.

1. Overlapping Kassel
Where: Kassel, Germany
When: 16-26 June 2022
A 10-day performance art festival showcasing live art performance, workshops and a performance art documenta (pictures, books and videos).

2. The YAEHA Digital Storying Telling Workshop & Persons with Digitabilities International Virtual Movie Festival
Where: Quezon City, Philippines
When: Phase 1: June-July 2022; Phase 2: 1-4 December 2022
A workshop for persons with disabilities and marginalized groups on digital storytelling. The event aims to develop and enhance the communication skills and talent of persons with disabilities, youth from low-income communities, and provide space for collaboration.

3. Animotion Film Festival 2022
Where: Florence, Italy
When: July 2022
A competitive film festival dedicated to 2D-3D Animation and Stop Motion Films. This 5th edition will give space to individual authors, animation schools and productions from all over the world.

4. Dhaka DocLab
Where: Dhaka, Bangladesh and online 
When: 22-27 August 2022
A 6-day event that includes mentoring workshop, masterclass, film screenings and special talks on film industry trends for documentary filmmakers.

5. RondoFest Music Festival 2022
Where: Penang, Malaysia
When: 6-11 September 2022
A 6-day annual music education festival that aims to curate a combination of youth and acclaimed talent to create unity through music.

6. Indonesian Dance Festival 2022
Where: Jakarta, Indonesia and online 
When: Pre-event: 7-9 October 2022; Festival: 22-28 October 2022
An international biennial contemporary dance festival held in Jakarta, Indonesia since 1992.To celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the festival, the theme for 2022 is RASA: Beyond Bodies.

7. Asia Pacific Screen Awards / Asia Pacific Screen Forum
Where: Gold Coast, Australia and online
When: 9-13 November 2022
An annual awards ceremony, industry events and public screening program to honour and promote the films that best reflects its cultural origins and the diversity of the Asia Pacific.
