The public in Barcelona have the chance to enjoy the different artistic disciplines from the Asian continent for free at the 11th edition of the Asia Festival, between the 21st and the 24th of September 2012. Music, art, dance, workshops, demonstrations and cuisine tastings will be the main cores of the event, which will especially include contributions of the Asian communities resident in Barcelona and that will become a space of intercultural dialogue and encounter with Asia. The Asian communities will be the priority of the main novelties of this year: the debut of the Asian choir Barcelona Coral Asia and the 1st Asian Talent Show, which will make known four of the best musical proposals by Asian origin resident artists. The Festival, in addition, will not lose its international perspective thanks to the performance of groups and artists that come for the event from South Korea, Azerbaijan, Japan and Pakistan. The Festival will be concentrated in four days, and within the framework of the Mercè Festival and BAM and it will pack the centre of Barcelona: the square of the Cathedral, plaça dels Àngels, plaça Joan Coromines, the Centre de Cultura de Dones Francesca Bonnemaison and CCCB will be the main stages of this 11th date with Asian culture. In addition, the finalists of the 1st Asian Talent Show will go around six different towns in Barcelona from October to December.
