At a time when the future of Europe seems more open than ever, artists and thinkers from all over the world come together in Amsterdam for the Forum on European Culture. During a 4-day programme combining theater, performances, film, debate, music and expositions, they exchange ideas about Europe and imagine a shared European future. The theme of the second edition of the biennial Forum is: ‘Act for Democracy!’ The Forum will take place from May 31 until June 3rd 2018 on various locations in Amsterdam.

The first contributors to the programme are announced - more to follow: 

Alessandro Baricco (writer, Italy), Natalia Kaliada director of the Belarus Free Theater, (theater company in exile, Belarus), Achille Mbembe (philosopher, Cameroon), Flavia Kleiner (political activist, Switserland), Wolfgang Tillmans (photographer, artist, Germany), Zaki Nusseibeh (politician, United Arab Emirates), Madi Maxwell-Libby(spoken word artist, United Kingdom), Artur Zmijewski (visual artist, Poland), Rem Koolhaas (architect, The Netherlands), Wende Snijders(singer-songwriter, The Netherlands).
