ufaFabrik in Berlin is the European Hub for freeDimensional (fD)

fD is a network that supports art spaces hosting activism and strengthening community engagement.
freeDimensional (fD) advances social justice by hosting activists in art spaces and using cultural resources to strengthen their work.

fD is made up of art spaces in over 60 countries with regional hubs in New York City, Cairo, Sao Paulo, Berlin and Pondicherry. fD members provide safe haven for oppressed culture workers in their residency apartments; offer meeting rooms to community members who bring important local issues to light; and introduce new ideas to the public through bold exhibitions and inclusive educational programs. In these ways, fD supports the freedom of thought and expression globally.

UfaFabrik (link) (Berlin) is the European hub center for freeDimensional.

fD believes in the power of intersecting networks.  In Europe fD has collaborated through cultural networks Trans Europe Halles and IETM.
