Germany | The Contemporary Asian Performing Arts and Performance Art Season 2024

The Contemporary Asian Performing Arts and Performance Art Season (CAPAS2024), organised by the German Association for Asian Art, will take place in Göttingen, Germany, from 27 May to 15 June 2024. 

Under the theme ‘Art, Science, and Technology’, the festival merges traditional art forms with modern scientific insights through a line-up of 7 performances, alongside workshops and discussions led by artists from diverse Asian backgrounds. These events are designed to provide deep insights into topics like identity and foster cross-continental exchanges among scholars and students.

In collaboration with leading cultural institutions such as the Deutsches Theater Göttingen and Junges Theater Göttingen, CAPAS2024 aims to create a synergy between the academic and artistic communities. With the support of sponsors including the Lower Saxony Foundation, Goethe-Institut Zentrale München, and the Cultural Foundation of Göttingen, the festival seeks to celebrate cultural diversity and the fusion of art, science, and technology.

CAPAS2024 invites the community and interested partners to participate in this journey of exploration and to dive into the unfolding landscape of culture and artistic expression.
