GIBANICA (MOVING CAKE) - Biennial of Slovenian Contemporary Dance Art

The 8th GIBANICA (MOVING CAKE) - Biennial of Slovenian Contemporary Dance Art will be organised in Ljubljana in March 2017. Applications invited now from professionals abroad (artists, programmers, journalists) who would like to attend this important platform and showcase for dance. Since 2003, Gibanica  has provided a biennial selection of the best contemporary dance productions of local artists and has been considered the most relevant contemporary dance platform in Slovenia. 8th GIBANICA - Ljubljana, 3th - 11th March 2017 With the 8th edition of Gibanica that will take place between 8th and 11th March 2017, Ljubljana will again be the epicentre of Slovenian contemporary dance. Three-member international selectors committee formed for 2017 edition by Eddie Nixon (The Place, London), Angela Glechner (Szene, Salzburg) and Suzana Koncut (Ljubljana, Slovenia). Information and application for foreign guests All professionals (artists, selectors, journalists, etc.) that come from abroad and want to visit the 8th edition of Gibanica, Biennial of Slovenian Contemporary Dance Art, are kindly invited to complete the APPLICATION. You will be provided: • free admittance to all Gibanica-related events throughout your visit; • assistance in booking the accommodation in Hotel Park where the festival's guests will have bed and breakfast at a reduced price and which is located within the walking distance of the festival's venues.
