The Rencontres Internationales are taking place in Paris from 18 to 26 November at the Centre Pompidou and the Gaîté lyrique. During 9 days, it offers an opportunity for discovery and reflection at the intersection of new cinema and contemporary art. In the presence of artists and filmmakers from all over the world, this unique event presents an international programme of film, video, and multimedia. It includes 25 screenings, satellite events with several exhibitions throughout the Ile-de-France region, a cycle of debates and panel discussions. This year's programme has been selected from 5500 submissions and includes commissioned works from artists and filmmakers. It is the result of an thorough international search for works: 150 works from Germany, France, Spain and 40 other countries, gathering internationally-known artists and filmmakers along with young artists and filmmakers who are exhibited for the first time.
