Museum Dance Off 2: Electric Boogaloo

Museum Dance Off 2 Museum blog When you work at a museum... has recently launched the second edition of the Museum Dance Off competition. Staff of museums around the world are invited to choose a song and involve interns, colleagues, volunteers, docents or visitors to dance to it, in the museum's premises. Dances should be videotaped and uploaded on the Internet. Organisers stress that 'Museum Dance Off' is a chance to show guests a different side of their favourite museum, and rally their community to vote for it. From an internal perspective, it is also a chance for staff to take a break from the routine and do something fun and different. From a PR perspective, it is a chance to engage audiences all over the world. Last year, several museums received local, national, and international media coverage online, via broadcast, and in print. Participation is open to any gallery, library, archive or museum. Video entries should last between 2 and 5 minutes. Submissions should be sent by 10 April. Online voting will follow, leading to the proclamation of a winner.
