Romania | International Cultural Policy Conference 2022

The International Cultural Policy Conference and Assembly will take place at the National Library of Romania, Bucharest, from 30 June to 1 July 2022. 

An initiative of the Compendium Association and hosted by the National Institute for Cultural Research and Training, there are two parts to the event: 

• 30 June: The International Cultural Policy Conference, which is open to a wider public
• 1 July: The 5th General Assembly of the Association of the Compendium of Cultural Policies and Trends and the Assembly of Compendium Experts (ACE), which is only accessible for Compendium members and experts

Programme

This year, the programme will focus on the topic of Culture and Cultural Policies in Times of Crises – Effects, Roles, Transition.

In times of crises it is important to look more closely at how the cultural sector and cultural policies are dealing with this situation or how they should react.

On the one hand it is important to analyse how the cultural sector and cultural policies are affected by these crises, and on the other hand it is necessary to identify the roles the cultural sector and cultural policies can play. In this process it is possible to identify the existing or potential cultural policy strategies and programmes that are best placed to face these challenging crises.
