Flickerfest, renowned as Sydney's first outdoor beachside cinema, kicks off the summer movie season under the stars at Bondi Beach in 2014 from 10th-19th January, screening the best short films from Australia and the world in a unique and relaxed summer environment. Once the festival finishes, Flickerfest goes on tour to over 45 venues around Australia.

Call for entries is now announced for Flickerfest 2014 23rd International Short Film Festival. The 2014 Festival will include competitions for International, Australian, Documentary, Environmental and FlickerUp (Australian School Students Competition).

The following AWARDS will be handed out during the festival -

Award for Best International Short Film - (Academy® accredited)
Award for Best Animation - (Academy® accredited)
Award for Best Australian Short Film - (Academy® accredited)
*plus a host of industry & cash prizes across all competitions
recognising excellence in the short film form valued at over $40,000 AUD
