Budapest | WOMEX 20 call for proposals

Calling all artists, DJs/producers, filmmakers, conference speakers and mentors... call for proposals for The World Music Expo. WOMEX 20 returns to to the culturally rich city of Budapest for a second time! From 21-25 October 2020, WOMEX will host the annual celebration of professional cultural exchange featuring Showcases, Conferences, Film Screenings, Club Summit and the Trade Fair.

Deadline to Apply: Friday, 13 March 2020

In order to take part, please ensure that you propose your band, artist, conference topic,interactive session idea, mentoring expertise, networking or film proposal through the forms available on the WOMEX website. There are four categories:

SHOWCASE

Perform at the premier global music showcase event, in front of one of the largest audiences of dedicated international concert and festival bookers, tour promoters and venues, labels, distributors, journalists and industry professionals. We welcome submissions from all corners of world and jazz music!

CLUB

WOMEX presents a specialised Club Summit, showcasing DJs and producers from all musical backgrounds and global electronic music scenes. We encourage DJs/producers of any genre, medium and background to apply and bring their sounds to the world!

FILM

WOMEX Film provides a platform to connect the international music and film communities by presenting documentaries that portray music, movements and histories from across the world. Apply to have your feature, medium-length or short film shown at WOMEX.

CONFERENCE & MENTORING

WOMEX is seeking proposals from representatives from every sector, to move the industry forward by presenting their visions, mapping out ideas or sharing hands-on expertise. Come discuss your viewpoint and of course, network with your peers.
