The Australia Council for the Arts is currently seeking a Director for its Visual Section team, which is responsible for providing high level advice to the Executive Director, the Council, and the government on visual arts issues in Australia.

The Director will develop promote and leverage a range of cooperative working relationships with key stakeholders at sector, government (state and federal) and community (general public) levels.  They will exercise primary authority over financial and human resource matters related to the Visual Arts Section.  They will maintain and communicate a strategic overview to ensure the Visual Arts team deliver grant programs that support outcomes for artists and arts organisations.  In addition, they will work effectively with the Visual Arts Board of the Council regarding both policy issues and grants programs.
