Luxembourg Art Prize 2020 - DEADLINE EXTENDED AGAIN!

The Luxembourg Art Prize is an annual international prize organized by the Pinacothèque, a private museum in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Every year the Prize aims to discover talents, amateur or professional, regardless of age and nationality. The ambition of the Prize is to accelerate the careers of little-known artists through a group exhibition by the finalists and support from the international network of Prize finalists, in existence since 2015.

Deadline for entries is extended to August 31 2020

The group exhibit of all finalists will take place at the museum from Saturday November 28, 2020, to Saturday March 13, 2021, lasting around three and a half months.

The Prize is aimed at artists working in one or more of the following media: drawing, printing, installation, painting, performance, photography, digital art, sculpture, sound art, video, mixed media, decorative art (textiles and material, glass, wood, metal, ceramics, mosaic, paper or other techniques).

What are the submission criteria?

  • No age limit on submissions
  • Open to amateur and professional artists
  • All nationalities are eligible
  • Open to artists from all the countries of the world

Artists have to create a Candidate Space on the Luxembourg Art Prize website and complete the entry form on-line. Entry for the Luxembourg Art Prize 2020 is subject to the payment of an entry fee to be paid on-line. The entry fee is €55

The winner will receive in 2019 significant help in the form of a grant of 50,000 euros. The winner is entirely free to use this money in any way they choose.

All the finalist artists’ expenses are paid by the organisation during the group exhibition (transport for the works of art, air and train tickets and full-board accommodation in a four-star hotel). This also applies to the expenses of one other person of their choice who can accompany them to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

All artists who completed their application file will receive a certificate from the Luxembourg Art Prize issued by the Pinacothèque museum.
