UNESCO's International Fund for the Promotion of Culture (IFPC) is launching a call for proposals for artistic and creative projects. It prioritises young creators (18-30 years) and projects from or benefitting developing countries.

Are you an artist? An NGO or non-profit private body, or a public body whose activities contribute to the promotion of culture and artistic creation? If your project meets the criteria set out in the Operational Guidelines of the International Fund for the Promotion of Culture (IFPC), you can submit your projects to benefit from the support of the Fund.

Priority will be given to young artists/creators (18-30 years) and to projects benefitting youth.

Priority will also be given, as far as possible, to projects from or benefitting developing countries.

Please note that funding can not be provided to projects that are already In receipt of funding provided by other UNESCO Funds or programmes

To apply, please fill in the online application form in English or in French and send to ifpc(at)unesco.org. Please ensure that the application form is filled in as completely and clearly as possible and that the budget breakdown is clearly stipulated.

The deadline for submissions is 2 May 2013 at midnight CET

• The International Fund for the Promotion of Culture (IFPC) is intended to promote:

(a) cultures as sources of knowledge, meanings, values and identity;

(b) the role of culture for sustainable development;

(c) artistic creativity in all its forms, while respecting freedom of expression;

(d) international and regional cultural cooperation.

•  To achieve these aims, the Fund’s resources will be used to support:

(a) the cultural and artistic projects of creators in developing countries;

(b) culture and development strategies and programmes;

(c) the reinforcement of national mechanisms, structures and facilities whose purpose is to support cultural activities and artistic creators in developing countries;

(d) the organization of exchanges to foster international cooperation  support cultural and artistic projects

Priority is given to projects from young artists/creators (18-30 years old) or benefiting youth. Priority is also given, as far as possible, to projects from or benefiting developing countries.
