British Council Finland

British Council is the UK’s international organisation for cultural relations with other countries. British Council’s approach to cultural relations is a broad one. It covers governance and human rights as well as the arts, science, education and inter-cultural dialogue – and we set out deliberately to break down the boundaries between them.

British Council Finland is a gateway to the best of British and Finnish contemporary arts, social innovation and debate on current European and local issues.

Projects:

Creative Cities: A creative city is a better place in which to live, work and play. We want to give young, influential people the tools to transform their cities into Creative Cities.

Challenge Europe: We will recruit and support a group of young European people who want to make a real difference to the climate debate in their countries and internationally.

Active Citizens: We think it is important to deal with the challenges that we face in the multicultural world by developing groups of young leaders in Europe who can easily „navigate” within and between different cultures.
