Design Forum Finland

Design Forum Finland is the promotion organisation of Finnish design. It is run by the Finnish Society of Crafts and Design which, established in 1875, is the second-oldest design-industry organisation in the world. The mission of Design Forum Finland is to support affluence and competitiveness in the economy and society by promoting widespread utilization of design.

Their activities include design exhibitions, publications, design prizes and competitions, and media and sales promotion services, among others. One of the core businesses is to promote design among small and medium-sized enterprises which is achieved by various projects both nationally and internationally. The aim of Design Forum Finland's national projects and services is to enhance the design sector and to promote business in Finland. This implies wide-ranging utilisation of the opportunities of design in the economy.

The international projects of Design Forum Finland aim at increasing the export of designed products and design expertise. They unite various actors from companies and individual designers to public bodies both in Finland and abroad. The products of Finnish design and related technologies and skills provide increasingly broader visibility and promote the internationalisation of business.
