Lithuanian Museums' Association

The Lithuanian Museums' Association (LMA) is a volunteer, non-profit organisation, which unifies Lithuania’s museums. The main purpose of the LMA is to generally support museum activities and to organise as well as promote cooperation and mutual assistance among museums.

The LMA is a strong and independent organisation of 100 members, proud to be able to represent Lithuanian museums and to be able to implement large European social projects. Enthusiastic museology professionals gathered in the association are constantly looking for new opportunities to foster the values they believe in: lifelong learning, creativity and strengthening social connections. Until now, the most successful projects implemented by the Association have developed and deepened the abilities of museum workers and created a sustainable relationship between the museum and the family, the museum and the school, the academic community and the most important person - the museum visitor.
