Satel Film produces a wide spectrum of products, ranging from television series to feature films and documentaries. It was founded in 1971. It is a member of the Association of Austrian Film Producers (AAFP).

Some of the films produced by Satel Film are the international best selling TV movies; 1809 – Die Freiheit des Adlers, Opernball, Heilerin I und II and Die Jahrhundertlawine, the Oscar-nominated film ’38 written by FriedrichTorberg, Peter Patzak’s Kassbach and Maximillian Schell's Tales from the Vienna Woods.
