Aerowaves’ Spring Forward Festival 2026
The 15th edition of the Aerowaves Spring Forward Festival will take place 6-9 May in Guimarães (Portugal), hosted by Centro Cultural Vila Flor in collaboration with O Espaço do Tempo, and part of the programme of the European Green Capital 2026 Guimarães.
In 2026 Aerowaves is celebrating 30 years since John Ashford founded Aerowaves in 1996.
The programme includes the Aerowaves Twenty26 from 16 countries and showcases a selection of emerging dance makers working across Europe. In addition, choreographer Emmanuel Jouthe will present his work adapted for and performed by a local group of dance students from Instável – Centro Coreográfico.
Along with the performances, the European Green Capital will offer a special city tour and a presentation, and the schedule will feature a facilitated talk with artists.
