Festival Croisements | 183 events in 25 Chinese Cities | Institut Français

The 2011 edition of the Franco-Chinese cultural festival Croisements will take place across 25 Chinese cities and offer a total of 183 events over a period of 10 weeks. The festival has chosen an eclectic mix for its programming which includes contemporary circus, baroque music concerts, as well as interactive art exhibitions. Franco-Chinese productions will also be featured, notably a collaboration between the Beijing Dance Theatre and the choreographer. Anthony Agea. Jean-Paul Wenzel and William Mesguich will direct Chinese actors in The Misanthrope by Molière. The festival will also offer its support to smaller satellite events including:

The 8th Panorama of French Film in Beijing, Chengdu, Shenzhen, and Hangzhou.
A display of the famous photography festival Les Rencontres d'Arles at the Caochangdi Photospring Festival.
The Fete de la Musique which celebrates its 5th anniversary in Wuhan in presence of special guests.
A week of French music from Xiamen at the Gulangyu Festival in Beijing.
The pianist Bertrand Chamayou's performance at a recital in Beijing in presence of other musicians.
