Frieze Seoul 2026
The fifth edition of the Frieze Seoul fair in partnership with Kiaf SEOUL will have new curated sections and other developments. More than 125 galleries from 30 countries will return to COEX in Gangnam 2 – 5 September 2026; more than 70% of them are based in the Asia-Pacific region, with more than 50 exhibitors operating permanent spaces in Seoul.
The fair reflects Seoul’s position at the centre of Asia’s most influential contemporary art scene, with Korean artists gaining significant international visibility in recent years and the Asia-Pacific art world looking increasingly to Korea.
This year sees a reimagined Focus section, comprising 16 dynamic emerging galleries from across Asia and the world. Two new sections are being presented for the first time in 2026: Material Practice and Spotlight, respectively devoted to the intersection of contemporary art and design, and underrepresented 20th-century artists.
The fair’s extended curatorial programme comprises Frieze LIVE, the Frieze Seoul Artist Award, Frieze Film and Frieze Music, while a talks series will bring together artists, curators and cultural voices from Korea and beyond.
