Latvia | Page Break International Poetry Festival 2026
The international poetry festival Page Break will take place for the 5th time from 22 to 25 April 2026, bringing together internationally recognised poets from various countries and offering a wide range of poetry events in several venues.
This year's festival will feature 15 poets representing different generations, cultures, and styles, including Alessandro Mistorigo from Italy, Aleš Šteger from Slovenia, Anna Halberg from Sweden, Anna Julian Mendlik from Germany, Elizabeth Duval from Spain, Ivan Hristov from Bulgaria, Linda Maria Baros from France, and Niels Hav from Denmark, among others.
Latvia will be represented at the festival by poets Arvis Viguls, Ērika Bērziņa, Elvīra Bloma, and Ilmārs Šlāpins.
The main events of the festival will take place at the Splendid Palace cinema, where poetry readings by festival participants will be held in the Straumes hall on 23 and 24 April, while on 25 April, the Grand Hall will host the festival's closing poetry concert, with the participation of all festival guests. This year's festival is dedicated to the theme of peace in its various manifestations and contexts.
