Robot ! | Paris performances of French-Japanese dance production

Blanca Li dance production where eight live dancers share the stage with robots. Blanca Li conceived her ROBOT show after meeting with Maywa Denki (Japanese artists collective) - and with Aldebaran Robotics, a French robotics company. http://vimeo.com/73267626 With ROBOT, Blanca Li takes on the challenge of directing six dancing humanoid robots NAO and an electromechanical orchestra for a blazing show. The surprising encounter between live dancers and robots, both disconcerting and fascinating, make us think differently our interactions with the machines. Man-machines, electromechanical automatons, electronic robots: 3 kinds of relationship to the world, 3 evolutionary stages ? The show will present 3 ways of exploring the interactions between them, in an absurd and poetic way.
