Japan | Hokuriku Region Dance Festival 2025 Artist-in-Residence
The Hokuriku Region Dance Festival 2025 is calling for applications from artists from various fields of art to stay in the Hokuriku region as part of an Artist-in-Residence (AIR) programme, running from 14 to 22 July 2025.
This year, the programme plans to have the selected artists stay in the Noto region, a disaster-affected area. They are seeking 1 to 2 artists interested in participating in this AIR, which also serves as a support initiative for the area's recovery.
The selected artists will actively engage with the community, creating and showcasing activities and artworks that could only emerge from this location, contributing to both societal and disaster recovery efforts.
Eligibility
The call is for artists engaged in expressive activities. Although the primary focus is on contemporary dance, applications from all genres including visual arts, film, music, photography, performance, literature, traditional crafts, cuisine, and more are welcome.
There are no age, gender, or nationality restrictions, but the artists must be able to communicate in Japanese. If a longer stay is required for work creation, it can be discussed.

- Transportation expenses (up to 30,000 JPY)
