Lithuania | SODAS2123 artist residency 2024–2025

The SODAS 2123 artist-in-residence programme invites artists, curators, designers, architects, researchers and other creators to apply for the 2024/2025 winter programme, for one to three months in Vilnius, Lithuania.

The SODAS 2123 cultural centre is a self-governing community-based space, operated and curated by the Lithuanian Interdisciplinary Artists’ Association. It brings together creators and researchers from different fields, with practices based on experimentation, developing unexpected formats, and responding to the latest cultural, social, geopolitical and ecological issues. SODAS 2123 activities are supported by Lithuanian Council for Culture and Vilnius city municipality.

Programme participants are welcome to initiate event-based programmes, participate in open studios, present the results of their residency in various forms, and become part of the SODAS 2123 community events. The residency is self-curated, and the organisers expect residents to work and develop their artistic projects individually, with the support of the SODAS 2123 team. The residency hosts 2–3 participants at the time.

SODAS 2123 provides individual rooms and an opportunity to work in a shared studio. Residents are responsible for providing their own equipment and the materials needed for their artistic projects. The cost of the residency is 300–350 EUR per month.
