Museum Siam

Museum Siam
Located in Bangkok, the Museum Siam, Discovery Museum, under the National Discovery Museum Institute (NDMI), is the first museum that focuses on enabling visitors to gain new experiences while visiting a museum. Museum Siam is built as a model for a pleasurable learning center and raises the standard of new learning methods for Thai citizens, especially children and youth, through modern technology and creative activities.

This new means of learning are pursued through the museum's Main Exhibition and Special Exhibitions, and Creative Learning Activities, led by the museum's philosophy of 'Plearn', a Thai word meaning an 'enjoyable moment' and also an amalgamation of the english words 'Play' and 'Learn'. The museum's current permanent exhibition 'Decoding Thainess' aims to examine the evolution of all aspects of Thai from past to present, looking at history, architeture, traditions, culinary practices, clothing and more with the aid of interactive and digital exhibitions.
