National Museums Liverpool

National Museums Liverpool comprises several museums and art galleries in and around Liverpool in Merseyside, England. The institution holds in trust multi-disciplinary collections of worldwide origin, consisting more than one million objects and works of art. The organisation holds courses, lectures, activities and events and provides educational workshops and activities for school children, young people and adults.

The National Museums Liverpool consists of the following institutions and their respective specialties: 

• Museum of Liverpool: Social and cultural history of Liverpool
• World Museum: Ancient history, archaeology, ethnology, natural history and science
• International Slavery Museum: Historical and contemporary aspects of slavery
• Maritime Museum: Immmigaration and maritime history
• Walker Art Gallery: Visual arts such as painting, sculpture and craft
• Sudley House: Art and fashion
• Lady Lever Art Gallery: Paintings, sculpture and furniture
