Interview with Prof. Zune Lee at the 10th World Summit on Arts and Culture

As part of ASEF culture360's Arts Journalism Matters: On The Ground Fellowship, Lai Del Rosario sits down with educator and artist, Professor Zune Lee, to hear his insights on critical issues raised at the 10th World Summit on Arts and Culture, held this year in Seoul, Korea. Reflecting on urgent concerns brought up during the Summit, Prof. Zune also opines the evolving relationships between humanity, art, nature and technology.

What does the increased presence of artificial 'intelligence' in our daily lives mean for our relationship with objects, nature and each other? Sparked by critical conversations between leaders in arts and culture sectors across the globe, Professor Zune Lee of the Korea University School of Art and Design shares his views on the evolution of connections between the human and non-human and the place of art amidst these shifts.

An artist himself, Prof. Lee also draws on his experience as Principal Investigaor at Studio Bottles, a creative laboratory where he and his colleagues have carried out experiments on ways of consilience of art and technology since 2005.
