13th International Conference on the Inclusive Museum: Call for Papers

The 13th edition of the International Conference on the Inclusive Museum will be held in Lisbon, Portugal, on 3-5 September 2020. The conference will be hosted by the Museum of Lisbon. With a special focus on "Museums and Historical Urban Landscapes", organisers are now inviting proposals to take part. Proposals to take part can take the form of paper presentations, workshops/interactive sessions, posters/exhibits, virtual lightening talks, virtual posters, or colloquia. Several possible formats, including presentations in person and virtual presentations, are contemplated. The International Conference on the Inclusive Museum regularly pays attention to three core themes, namely:
  • Visitors - the relation of museum to its communities of users
  • Collections - the practices and processes of collecting and curating
  • Representations - museums as repositories and communicators of culture and knowledge
Further to these themes, the 2020 edition will have a special focus on "Museums and Historical Urban Landscapes". A call for papers is currently open, and several review rounds are foreseen. For additional information, please visit https://onmuseums.com/2020-conference/call-for-papers
