3 Winning Projects | Creative Encounters 2016
Three projects from a pool of 75 proposals have been selected for support in 2015 through the fifth edition of Creative Encounters:
- Asiatopia 2016
Performing arts festival with a focus on documenting oral histories of artists in relation to the contribution of artists & creativity to the social fabric of their respective communities.
Partners: Concrete House (Thailand), Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (Thailand), ASABANK (Germany) - Samdani Seminars 2016
A series of workshops with Asian & European artists focusing on marginalised communities in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Partners: Protisruti (Bangladesh), Samdani Art Foundation (Bangladesh), Polish Institute, New Delhi (India), Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw (Poland) - Ulaanbaatar Media Art Festival
An arts festival with focus on film, new media, photography, sound and fashion in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Participating artists from Asia and Europe will address in particular questions of urban versus nomadic civilisation, tradition & modernity and gender inequality.
Partners: Arts Council of Mongolia, AD Compagnie (France) and Ministry of Culture of France.
