4th International Festival of Documentary Films in Vietnam
The 4th International Festival of Documentary films in Vietnam will begin in Hanoi from 8th-17th June. The festival will then move to the town of Danang from the 15th June to 24th June 2012. The festival will feature daily screenings of one European and one Vietnamese documentary on the same theme, focussing on a dialog between Vietnamese and European Documentary film cultures. This is the first time that the festival will be held in Danang. The festival also features the 'Day of young Film Makers', devoted to films made by young Vietnamese documentary film makers. Now in its fourth edition, the festival hopes to establish itself in the cultural landscape of Vietnam and become a popular rendezvous for the public. This edition of the festival is presented by nine European countries (Austria, Germany, Denmark, France, Poland, Spain, Switzerland, UK, Wallonia-Brussels (Belgium)) in association with the National Documentary and Scientific Film Studio of Vietnam. This event is a part of the activities organized by the European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) in Vietnam. Click on Schedule for program details in Hanoi and Danang.
