Asia-Pacific Cinema Symposium and Conference this November

None The Griffith Film School (GFS), Brisbane, Australia, is hosting the Asia-Pacific Symposium on Creative Post- Production and the Inaugural CILECT Asia-Pacific Association (CAPA) Conference, between the 19 and 23 November 2012. The symposium comprises a 3-day workshop (19, 20, 21) on Creative Post-Production provided by Roger Crittenden and Herman Van Eyken, with a Keynote address by Walter Murch. The title of the Symposium is Revealing the Hidden Art. The Conference is titled 'Screen Education For The Asia Pacific Century: New Partnerships and Future Directions'.  The CAPAConference (22 & 23) explores a range of important and engaging topics that address the Conference theme, and includes theCAPA Annual General Assembly. The week concludes with the Gala evening at the 6th Annual Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA) celebrations. The Symposium and Conference will be held at Griffith Film School in Brisbane's beautiful South Bank Parklands alongside the Brisbane River. Highlights will include:
  • A Key note address by Walter Murch
  • The renown Roger Crittenden leading the symposium on Creative Post-Production
  • Invigorating and informative discussion concerning the development of partnerships and co-productions within the CAPAregion
  • Energizing and forward thinking consideration of Screen Production Education for the 21st Century
  • Celebration at the prestigious Asia Pacific Screen Awards and ceremony
