Busan to feature North Korean comedy
The Busan International Film Festival, the prized cinema event of Asia which is annually held in South Korea will feature a North Korean film at the festival after five years. Since 2003, when five North Korean films were shown in the festival, no North Korean film has featured in any of the subsequent events. The film titled 'Comrade Kim Goes Flying' is a British-Belgian-North Korean romantic comedy set in Pyongyang, North Korea with a North Korean cast and crew. The film is co-directed by Kim Gwang Hun, Nicholas Bonner and Anja Daelemans; produced by Anja Daelemans, Nicholas Bonner and Ryom Mi Hwa; and written by Sin Myong Sik and Kim Chol. The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in Canada earlier this month and will be showing at the BIFF 2012 which runs from October 4-13 this year.Similar content
