Call for Papers: Innovative Approaches to Tourism and Leisure

The 4th International Conference of the International Association of Cultural and Digital Tourism (IACuDIT) will be held in Athens, Greece, on 25-27 May 2017. Entitled "Innovative Approaches to Tourism and Leisure: Culture, Places and Narratives in a Sustainability Context", the aim of this conference is to gather people from academia, industry, government, and other organisations, in order to discuss and develop new perspectives in the field of tourism, travel, hospitality, culture and heritage, leisure, and sports within a knowledge society in a sustainability context. Organisers have recently published a call for papers, inviting researchers, practitioners and other interested professionals to submit abstracts on a range of issues, including:

• Heritage and Museum Management in the Digital Era
• Digital Collections and the Virtual Visitor
• Innovations in Museum Interpretation and Collections Management and Cross-cultural Visions
• Cultural and Digital Tourism Statistics, Economics and Forecasting
• Cultural Tourism Policy, Planning and Governance
• Cultural and Digital Tourism Marketing, Management and e-learning
• Cultural Landscape and Tourism

Submissions must be original and should not have been published previously or be under consideration for publication while being evaluated for this conference. Submitted papers will be subject to a rigorous double-blind review process. All accepted papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings by Springer Publications. In addition, authors of selected full-length papers will be given the opportunity to revise their papers and to be considered for publication in special issues of Journal of Cultural and Digital Tourism, and other selected tourism and hospitality journals, according to the guidelines for publication and editorial decision as specified in these journals. The deadline for the submission of abstracts (500 words) is 20 March 2017.
