Art Vietnam Paris Organised by the Research Centre on the Far East of the Paris-Sorbonne University (CREOPS), an international conference entitled 'Art from Viet Nam: New Approaches' will be held in Paris, France, on 4-6 September 2014. The event will take place at the National Institute of Art History (INHA), the Guimet National Museum of Asian Art and the Quai Branly Museum, the latter two of which are ASEMUS members. The conference aims to present and discuss recent developments in research on Vietnamese arts, from Antiquity until today. It also aims to inspire interdisciplinary exchanges and to present the diversity and richness of Vietnamese arts in a rigorous, accessible way to the general public. International specialists from Viet Nam, France, Belgium, Spain and the US will take part in this academic conference, the first of its kind to address both the arts and archaeology of Viet Nam outside this country. The event is part of the France-Viet Nam Year, which involved a set of events presenting French culture in Viet Nam in the second half of 2013 and a season of Vietnamese cultural activities in France in 2014. In the same context, an exhibition entitled 'Propaganda: Women in the Revolution, Viet Nam, 1954-1980', featuring a set of posters, can be seen at the Quai Branly Museum until 28 September.
