Cultural mobility organisations join forces to amplify support

Res Artis, TransArtists, On the Move, Artists at Risk and PEN America’s Artists at Risk Connection (ARC) have developed a new partnership that aims to combine their unique areas of expertise in the international cultural mobility field to amplify aid and support of arts and cultural workers in need.

Res Artis will act as a global information portal via a dedicated section of resources on their website targeted at upskilling arts residencies to support artists in need. Topics will include Creatives at Risk, COVID-19, Digital Learning, Sustainability and Online Residencies.

TransArtists will continue to share calls for artists and cultural professionals, and support mobility, international cooperation and freedom of expression through toolkits, articles and artist resources.

On the Move, together with its members, will continue in this context and beyond to inform artists and cultural professionals in need of relocation or support from affected contexts, particularly through funding and access to (en)forced mobility related information.

Artists at Risk can provide direct support to creatives seeking safety, matching them with a host organisation.

PEN America’s Artists at Risk Connection (ARC) is a global network of more than 800 organisations with many resources and ways to help persecuted artists, assist at-risk artists in navigating the ecosystem of support and securing direct assistance, such as emergency funding and relocation opportunities.

As the organisations emphasise, there has never been a more critical time to work together, join forces and pool resources.

In the coming weeks, they will be calling for input and feedback from the sector.
