culture360 Media Partnership | Month of Art Practice 2023

culture360.ASEF.org is delighted to be the media partner of Month of Art Practice 2023. 

Organised annually by Heritage Space, an independent art organisation based in Hanoi, Viet Nam, Month of Art Practice (MAP) is an artistic project dedicated to the development of contemporary art. MAP takes place with the aim of creating a platform for artistic practice, intellectual exchanges, public programmes, and events. Curators and artists from Europe and Asia, along with young emerging Vietnamese artists will join the workshop and programmes over a duration of 3 months and subsequently, present their works in two final exhibitions. MAP connects artists to an international discourse and is an active node in the network of independent art centers in Southeast Asia.

Annually, MAP has a specific theme that addresses current aesthetic and philosophical issues, which will serve as the inspiration for artistic exploration and new artistic works for the participants. The theme for MAP 2023 is “The Alternative Mobility”, which is realised by art-practice based studies, multidisciplinary experiments and cross-cultural exchanges with the perceptions of mobility from physical transportations to social movements to sustainability.

This edition of MAP will see two groups of artists working simultaneously in Hanoi, Viet Nam and Bremen, Germany. The project also involves mentoring through lectures and exchanges with experts and guest curators from Switzerland and Korea.
