European Film Festival in Vietnam 2012
This year, the European Film Festival in Vietnam will see the largest number of screenings as fourteen European Union Member States will be presenting films to this event. Held for the first time in 2000, the Festival has become a permanent feature on the cultural calendars of both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. This year, for the first time, the Festival will be introduced in the Central City of Da Nang. Recognized as one of the most successful multi-cultural events in Vietnam, the aim of this Festival is to portray the diversity of European cinema to the Vietnamese public, thus contributing to an enhanced mutual understanding between the peoples of Vietnam and the European Union. The 2012 Festival features an extensive and diverse range of films including Oscar winning films and special children short films, with a view to cater to an even wider audience. All tickets are free of charge, and can be collected for screenings in Hanoi from 11 May and for screenings in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang from 12 May at the following locations: Hanoi: Goethe Institut, 56-58 Nguyen Thai Hoc, tel: (04) 37 34 22 51 British Council, 20 Thụy Khuê, tel: (04) 3 8 436 780 L'Espace, 24 Trang Tien, tel: (04) 3 936 21 64 HCMC: Goethe Institut: 335/4 Dien Bien Phu, District 1, tel: (08) 3 9 12 52 50 British Council: 25 Le Duan, D.1, tel: (08) 3 8 23 28 62 Dong Da Cinema: 890 Tran Hung Dao, D.5, tel: (08) 3 923 48 33 Da Nang: Le Do Cinema, 46 Tran Phu, tel: (0511) 3 82 25 74 Cinema & Film Distribution Centre, 68 Tran Phu, tel: (0511) 3 82 32 84Similar content
