Exhibition: "Capture the Spirit of Ramadan" | Malaysia

Spirit of Ramadan The “Capture the Spirit of Ramadan” International Photography Competition (IRPC) is a unique and unprecedented 30-day visual celebration of the holy month that aims to educate and enlighten millions of viewers around the world through the art of photography. This year the IRPC launches its world touring exhibition at the Islamic Arts Museum of Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur, an ASEMUS member. The exhibition, undertitled 'Bridging Cultures, Inspiring Creativity', will also be showing in Istanbul and London. The IRPC initiative is a non-profit, non-partisan project by creative firm StudioBasel. Currently in its 4th year, the initiative offers an international platform for talented and professional photographers around the world to share their creativity in an effort to showcase the beauty of Islam through its art, architecture and cultural diversity. The IRPC currently houses the world’s largest modern collection of Islamic themed photographs of Ramadan around the world featuring over 60 countries and publishes the world’s first and only Ramadan photography book and magazine. The initiative boasts a prestigious jury panel which includes National Geographics’ award winning photographer, Steve McCurry; renowned British Muslim photographer Peter Sanders; World Press Photo Judge, Dr. Shahidul Alam; Founder and Chief Executive of the International Islamic Arts Magazine, Elvira Bojadzic; American University of Cairo Professor of Photojournalism, Dr. Shems Friedlander; and the IRPC Founder and Creative Director, award winning UN Photographic Society member, Dr. Basel Almisshal.
