From September 13th to October 5th, the Festival Images will present the work of more than 65 artists coming from 15 countries in Vevey, Switzerland – indoor and outdoor. Amongst them, international figures such as Francis Alÿs, John Baldessari, Martha Cooper, Leandro Erlich, Lee Friedlander, Paul Fusco, Arno Rafael Minkkinen or Alex Prager. Festival Images - the Open Air Photography Biennale, is the first open-air photography festival of Switzerland. It presents as an international open-air museum and high quality platform for photographers worldwide. Every two years, it produces unseen monumental photography exhibitions in the streets of Vevey and also proposes numerous exhibitions in various regional institutions dedicated to the image. The festival is also an opportunity to introduce the winning projects of the Vevey International Photo Award. View the programme of artists.  Highlights include: From Bangladesh, Abir Abdullah won the Leica prize (Reportage) at the 10th Vevey International Photo Award 2013/2014 for his series Deadly Cost of Cheap Clothing. The Swiss/Japanese artist David Favrod presents Cardinal Points / Kobe. Thomas Sauvin, a French photographer who moved to China in 2006, presents Silvermine: au bord de l'eau Entirely free, the Festival Images is a true open-air museum and a quality platform for Swiss and international artists.
