+Follow | MOCA Shanghai | exhibition
+Follow at MOCA Shanghai gathers 8 young Chinese artists who explore contemporary social environments and life experiences through their work. Amongst them is Lu Yang, a 26-year-old artist from the China Academy of Art in Hangzhou. Her work is strongly inspired by the world of science and biology, questioning and depicting ideas through diagrams, stylish videos, and laser projections. By showcasing the works from a new generation, MOCA Shanghai pushes traditions and conventional boundaries. The exhibited pieces not only reveal the development of young Chinese artists, it is also a reflection on the growth of the Chinese contemporary art scene. The Museum of Contemporary Art Shanghai (MOCA Shanghai) is the first non-profit, independently-operated contemporary art institution in Shanghai. Endorsed by the Shanghai Municipal Government and funded by the Samuel Kung Foundation, MOCA Shanghai is devoted to the promotion of Chinese and international contemporary art.
