Gambling hit the screen in Singapore

None It didn't took long for gambling to become a source of inspiration for Singapore filmmakers!

Two casino complexes opened in the State-island less than a year ago, and a local film "The Ultimate Winner" was released in April.

Local press reports that the film was well-received at its gala premiere well-attended by media friends, invited and VIP guests and that the key messages behind the story with the aim to educate the audience on the dangers of greed and temptation struck the right chord with the viewers.

Film critics and bloggers have been however giving the film harsh reviews but the existence of the film highlights the fact that gambling while not embraced by the whole population is a social phenomenon and a topic of numerous discussion in Singapore.
