Hong Kong Arts Festival 2015
The 43rd Hong Kong Arts Festival (HKAF) runs 27 February - 29 March. Launched in 1973, HKAF is a major international arts festival committed to enriching the life of the city and presents over 130 performances and around 250 educational events and Festival PLUS activities across the city. Take a look at the programme highlights for 2015 - opera, theatre, dance and music from around the world - including: The Bolshoi Ballet and The Bolshoi Opera (Russia), Gala Flamenca (Spain), Dutch National Ballet (Netherlands), Zhejiang Xiaobaihua Yue Opera Troupe (China) and Theatre Complicite (UK). The Asia-Europe co-production sees Ontroerend Goed (Belgium) and The Border Project (Australia) team up to present Fight Night, (26 Feb - 1 Mar), a reflection on democracy, elections, and political manipulation. In a game show format, five ‘candidates’ battle to get your sympathy and your vote. Only one will survive the series of elimination contests. Along the way - campaigns, coalitions, exit polls, spin doctors, the whole panoply of a modern election. Exciting and totally engaging, this is reality theatre, live and unique to the moment. Every performance is bound to be different, because the vote is yours. But do you really have free choice?Similar content
