Indian Contemporary Art | CIMA Kolkata

None The annual Summer Show at the Centre of International Modern Art is currently taking place in Kolkata. Selected works by artists from various Indian regions are showcased in this exhibition. This year's focus is the exploration of contemporary social issues through artistic practices and Hindu concepts. The result is an unexpected mixture of the surreal and the real, pulling the viewer into a maze of intertwined narratives. CIMA was established in 1993 and has since become a premier venue for contemporary arts in India. It has organized over a hundred exhibitions, and has collaborated with international museums, funding agencies, and educational institutions. It also regularly organizes seminars in presence of well-known scholars, artists, directors, and performers. Images courtesy of Sumitro Basak and Bahuleyan CB
