YPAM (Yokohama International Performing Arts Meeting) 2021 takes place in person and online 1-19 December, through a hybrid event connecting live and digital attendees. 

The international networking programme YPAM Exchange will be held at BankART KAIKO and through a hybrid event platform “Swapcard.” By hybrid event we refer to an in-person/virtual dual-layer event that aims to create “a unified experience across all attendees, both live and digital.”

Professional participants are invited to register. The registrants will be eligible for professional-rate tickets for YPAM Direction as well as part of YPAM Joint Program and YPAM Fringe. Full in-person/virtual access to YPAM Exchange and support for making good use of YPAM across programs will also be offered. The deadline for registration is 23:59 on Saturday December 18, 2021 (UTC+9). The registration and access to Swapcard will be valid for a year.

YPAM is an international platform aimed at both

  • professionals, who connect works of art and audience through management, support, venue, criticism, research, and various other forms of activity, and
  • audience, who vitalize the environment and stimulate artists by appreciating / reflecting on / talking about the performing arts

YPAM (Yokohama International Performing Arts Meeting) is a place where professionals from various places of the world who explore the possibility of contemporary performing arts exchange through performance and meeting programs to gain information, inspiration and network for the creation, dissemination and vitalization of the performing arts. Established in 1995 as Tokyo Performing Arts Market and moved in 2011 to the “Creative City” Yokohama. Reinforced its focus on Asia and started to involve itself in Asian co-production in 2015. Having survived for more than 25 years, the event has become internationally recognized as one of the most influential performing arts platforms in Asia.
