Jordi Baltà has recently joined the Asia-Europe Museum Network (ASEMUS) team as web and social media editor.

His role will involve researching and posting relevant online content, keeping up-to-date with culture news and information coming from ASEMUS member museums, commissioning articles and interviews for the website and sharing editorial content through social media networks and newsletters. In addition to the ASEMUS website, ASEMUS is currently active on social media networks Facebook and Twitter.

Further to his post at ASEMUS, Jordi Baltà works as a freelance consultant and trainer in the areas of cultural policy, cultural management and international affairs. He is a member of the UNESCO-EU Pool of Experts on the Governance of Culture in Developing Countries, as well as the U40 Network "Cultural Diversity 2030". He previously worked at the Interarts Foundation. He is based in Barcelona.

Both ASEMUS member museums and other interested organisations and professionals are invited to contact him at jordi.balta [at] culture360.org with relevant information for the network.

Set up in 2000, the Asia-Europe Museum Network (ASEMUS) is a cross-cultural network of museums from Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) countries. Its objectives include promoting mutual understanding between the peoples of Asia and Europe through collaborative museum-based cultural activity and stimulating and facilitating the sharing and use of museum collections.

ASEMUS is led by an Executive Committee and supported by a Secretariat. The Patron of ASEMUS is the Executive Director of the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF).
