Kutch Textiles and Handcrafts Show in Osaka
Kutch Textiles and Handcrafts Show - taking place in Osaka June 13 -18 - is the first ever exhibition inviting 17 master artisans and NGO leaderships from Kutch, in western Gujarat, India to Japan. Textile collections from Shrujan Trust Living & Learning Design Centre museum and legendary textile collector Hiroko Iwatate’s Folkcraft Museum will also be exhibited at the exhibition space at Umeda Hankyu 9th floor.
The exhibition is coordinated by Fumie Kobayashi at Calico India Art of Indian Fabrics and you can see more images on Instagram.

The Living and Learning Design Centre (LLDC) is a pioneering new effort of the Shrujan Trust to preserve, revitalize and promote the glorious craft heritage of Kutch.
Dedicated to the craftspeople of Kutch, LLDC is envisioned as a multi-dimensional crafts education and resource centre. It is situated on a three-building, eight-acre campus in Ajrakhpur, Kutch.
