Latvia | On the Move Cultural Mobility Forum 2025

From 29 to 30 April 2025, On the Move organises the fourth Cultural Mobility Forum, co-hosted by the Northern Dimension Partnership on Culture (NDPC) and in partnership with Riga Cirks and HowlRound.

Each year, On the Move proposes a Cultural Mobility Forum to collectively investigate international artistic and cultural mobility trends. As a knowledge platform, the network works together with its members and partners to design thematic panel discussions and contextualise global mobility issues addressed in On the Move's annual Cultural Mobility Yearbook.

Focus 2025: Revisiting the International Mobility of Young and Emerging Arts Workers

The 2025 Cultural Mobility Forum will foster critical dialogue on the pathways forward for young and emerging artists and cultural professionals, offering perspectives on how international mobility, inclusivity, and sustainability can be reimagined for a resilient arts and culture sector.

Recognising the essential role of arts journalism in bridging cultural dialogues with diverse audiences, culture360.ASEF.org is organising Arts Journalism Matters: On the Ground, a spin-off activity of the Arts Journalism Matters Fellowship

This edition, organised in partnership with the European network for cultural mobility, On the Move, aims to give emerging journalists an immersive experience of what the work of an arts journalist entails and an opportunity to gain first-hand experience in covering an on-site arts event.

As part of the fellowship, Theodora Agni, an independent arts manager from Yogyakarta, Indonesia will cover the proceedings and happenings of the Cultural Mobility Forum in Riga, Latvia.

The Arts Journalism Matters Fellowship aims to provide capacity building, networking and collaboration opportunities for young emerging arts journalists from Asia and Europe. Learn more about the previous editions of #ArtsJournalismMatters here:
